The theme of the 24th edition of the BHP Enchanted Forest was I’ll be Home for Christmas. The seven week Holiday Light Show not only brought visitors home for the holidays but attracted large crowds from throughout Saskatchewan and beyond. Visitor numbers totaled 76,000 a number which would have been much higher if not for frigid temperatures and heavy snowfalls around Christmas.
The attraction to the BHP Enchanted Forest continues to be at a high level making the event a huge draw over the holiday season and a top winter tourist attraction for Saskatoon and Saskatchewan. The return of the Saskatchewan Blue Cross Light Walk at the beginning of the show for one night also proved to be a big draw after an absence of two years. The two benefitting charities, the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation and the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation wish to thank BHP, Saskatchewan Blue Cross, and all our light display sponsors for their generous support.
Plans are now underway with title sponsor BHP for the 25th Anniversary Celebration next holiday season 2023/2024. Stay tuned for exciting news on the BHP Enchanted Forest.
