Mandate
The Saskatoon Zoo Foundation is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to raise capital funds for animal habitat improvements within the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo and for projects that advance the delivery of education and conservation programs/ services at the Zoo.
The Saskatoon Zoo Foundation embarked upon a capital campaign in May of 2006 to raise funds for five important projects at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.
- Grizzly Bear Exhibit – project completed in 2008
- Education Centre – under construction with a projected completion date of January 2009
- Flight Rehabilitation Conservation Centre – fundraising phase continues
- Phase 2 of the Visiting Animal Exhibit – fundraising phase continues
- Children’s Playground – fundraising phase continues
Future Fund Raising Plans
Upon the completion of the five new exhibits, The Saskatoon Zoo Foundation will commence to generate revenue for a new North American carnivore area for the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo.
